Glossop Creates champions creativity across the Glossop valley – from visual art and music to food, storytelling, and everyday acts of making. We support artists, communities and organisations to bring creative projects to life and celebrate the culture of our town and its surroundings.

Wild Valley, our photography book created in collaboration with Dark Peak Photo CIC, is part of this ongoing work – shining a light on the landscapes, details and quiet moments that shape everyday life in Glossopdale.

Through their lens, the familiar becomes striking; the overlooked, suddenly important.This postcard features Crowden, a photograph selected by Dark Peak Photo CIC from Wild Valley. Taken during a still and open walk through the upper Longdendale Valley, it captures the scale and softness of the landscape – hills stacked against the sky, full of space and shifting light.
